Warnings
Do not test or simulate the system on a live ward without prior notice to all staff and patients if necessary. We recommend the creation of a simulation area for testing and training
Do not use where there is not a robust wifi network
Do not use iPads that cannot support the most up-to-date iPad OS (operating system)
Do not use damaged iPads
Do not ERA Systems iPads for anything other than use of the ERA system
Do not change the recommended settings on the iPad unless instructed to do so by ERA Systems
Do not use an outdated version of ERA Systems in a live environment
Do not use iPads that are not regularly connected to power
Do not allow patients to trigger an emergency
Do not leave active emergencies open for longer than necessary (forget to close them)
Ensure all new staff in the ward area are given adequate training about the system and how to use it
